Event Description : Urdu touches the heart and mind of anyone who comes in contact with it. Urdu is not merely a language but an entire culture unto itself. Sophisticated, sweet, sibilant, evocative, lyrical and timeless. Shaam-e-Rekhta is a tribute to the versatility, richness and the timeless beauty of Urdu. It is a step further to mark Urdu’s phenomenal outreach as the language finds its resonance across the length and breadth of the country.

Rekhta Foundation and Worldmark are coming together to hold ‘Rekhta Mushaira’ - a specially curated evening of Poetry recital by some of the well-known as well as upcoming poets of the country. The evening will not only bring the audience closer to Urdu but will also build an appreciation for the language, especially amongst the youth and the uninitiated by making them experience it firsthand.
