Event Description : WALK to learn about pollinators by BNHS, CEC-Delhi
Pollinators are responsible for assisting over 80% of the world's flowering plants. Without them, humans and wildlife wouldn't have much to eat or look at! Animals that assist plants in their reproduction as pollinators include species of ants, bats, beetles, birds, butterflies, flies, moths, wasps, as well as other unusual animals. Wind and water also play a role in pollination of many plants.
Pollination is the process by which pollen is transferred to the female reproductive organs of a plant, thereby enabling fertilization to take place. Like all living organisms, seed plants have a single major purpose: to pass their genetic information on to the next generation.
Come and learn more about pollinators with BNHS at Asola Bhatti Wildlife Sanctuary.
Activity includes: Field visit, Presentation on Pollinators, Visit in Butterfly Park
