Event Description : THEATRE : Katyayni presents "What's In A Name?" Hindi Musical Play

Inspired by Shakespeare's Romeo & Juliet. 

Delhi is a city of immigrants today. The story explores a love affair between the daughter of a powerful Haryanavi family and a middle class Bihari boy. The girl is in college and the boy is a fresh graduate, exploring a career as a music composer/ song writer. The two meet, fall in love and get entrenched in caste and class politics. How far can love and commitment, made famous by the Bard, survive in today's complicated and polarised world? The play explores this through Shakespearean melodrama and original songs, sung live on stage. A musical journey for the young and the young hearted. In Hinglish.
