The Carpathian Basin is a region with numerous ethnic sub-region seach of which has a rich and distinctive tradition of folk music. Singer Tünde Farkas, working together with musicians László Demeter (vocal, koboz, bells), Áron Dóra (flute), and Márton Komáromi (violin), has selected a lovelybouquet of works from this tradition. The members of the ensemble, Moldovan Csángós and Csángós from Gyímes, have created a performance that consists of worksfromtheancient musical layers of Upper Hungary (whattoday is Slovakia), Transylvania, and Transdanubia. The performance is also enriched by sacred songs.
TÜNDE FARKAS is a renowned performer of traditional Hungarian, Central European, and worldmusic song. Herwork and repertoirearediverse. She has createdarchaicfolk-sacralmusicprograms and worldmusicproductions, in which she performs works drawing on Hungarian folk traditions, as well as Eastern European (Bulgarian and Romanian), Mediterranean (Greek, Corsican, and Spanish), and Medieval musical and culturaltraditions. Recently, she has also begun to take an interest in Turkish folk music and the musical culture of the Altaicpeoples.

LÁSZLÓ DEMETER (vocal, koboz, bells): He often appears on different anthologies called ‘Living Hungarian Village Music’ or ‘Hungarian Dance-House Festival’, and he frequently participates in projects of different noted performers. With Zurgó Band (Hungarian [Moldavian ‘Csango’] folkmusic) he was awarded the following awards: ‘Bezeredj Award’ of The Ministry of Cultural Heritage, ‘Béla Bartók Prize’ and ‘FortheHungarian Arts Award’.

MÁRTON KOMÁROMI (violin): he foundedamongothersBerkagroup, which plays Moldavianfolkmusic.
Nowdays he is theleadingviolinist of Eszterlánc group. He also plays in Kobzos group and 
other different groups as a guest artist. He started to play classical music on violin at the age of 11 and laterhe has chosen folk music, what he was learning from the best masters.

ÁRON DÓRA (flutes): is one of the best flute player of Hungarianfolkmusicians. He is an excellent performer, a dedicated teacher, and has a very colourful repertoire as a story teller. He has represented Hungarian folk music on numerous international forums already, for example in Turkey, Germany, Poland, Georgia, Kazakhstan and India.
