Following the launch of Bonjour India - incubating dreams, ideas and projects which aim to move the partnership between India and France into the future, Bhopal saw the beginning of French Jazz, Soul and Funk music Hyleen's seven city tour in India,on 5thJanuary, in collaboration with Gatecrash and with the support of the network of Alliances Françaises. Hyleen will conclude the tour at the Piano Man Jazz Club in New Delhi.
Bonjour India has presented exemplary music acts by French artists in the months of November and December. In continuation, they are all set to commence 2018 through a jazzy encounter with Hyleen.
Young singer, songwriter and guitarist Hyleen has already made ripples in the world of Neo-soul, Pop and Funk music. She is set to release her new album "B-side" soon. She shares her amazing talent and energy onstage alongside two incredible musicians: Nicolas Viccaro on drums and Julien Boursin on keys and moog bass.
"The French Institute in India is excited to present a young talent, Hyleen,to the Indian audience. With Bonjour India, we are strengthening Indo-French relations through every channel, with a special attention to the youth. Music is an essential channel, as it plays an integral role in equal measure in both countries’ culture and is a perfect bridge. With seven concerts across different cities in India, we hope to encourage new collaborations in many parts of India," said Dr Bertrand De Hartingh, General Curator of Bonjour India, Counsellor for Cooperation and Cultural Affairs
About Hyleen:
HYLEEN is a young and very talented artist. Author, composer, endowed with a charismatic voice and a guitar playing which has never left anyone indifferent. Her universe draws its roots in Soul, Funk, Neo-soul and Pop music, sometimes even in Jazz, and she creates her own style that can be reconciled among a thousand . Hyleen traveled around the world with her album and performed mainly in New York, Paris and Japan. She returned with a new album "B-Side". After a period of research and writing but mostly touring: India, Polynesia, surrounded by talented Nicolas Viccaro on drums and Julien Boursin on keyboards and Moog-Bass. Hyleen recorded this new album Live to keep all the dynamics of this trio in studio as it is on stage.
