Event Description : SHOP & FOOD "Winter Mela' by Dastkar
An exquisite range of clothing to warm up your wardrobe: tussar silk weaves, kullu and kinnauri shawls; ikat weaves, ajrakh and bandhani, jamdani and banarasi brocades; hand-block printed and patchwork quilts, knitted sweaters, capes, jackets, gloves, and socks. Carpets, wool, and cotton dhurries. Safe foods like fruit preserves, spices, herbs, beverages, chamomile tea, coffee, honey, and quinoa, plus Christmas fairs like plum cakes and decorations!
A special feature of a wide and vivid selection of Kutch shawls and stoles by expert weavers from the Vankar community, and the launch of KHAMIR's sheep wool and leather collection.
Authentic Pashmina, in both traditional and innovative contemporary designs and a colorful variety of felt Namda carpets from Kashmir.
A unique section showcasing the crafts and culture of Nepal and Afghanistan:
