Event Description :
EXHIBITION : Gallerie Splash Presents "Village" solo show by Artist Nagesh Ghodke.

Nagesh Ghodke's art has been a journey through his village where he is living from his    child hood days. Vivid colours and prominent architecture in a village are an integral part    of Nagesh’s work and each exudes the energy that he attempts to capture. Nagesh says that he strongly influenced by his surroundings. His stay in his village in Maharashra gave him more exposure to capture the village in a different and unique way. His recent paintings attest to another kind of understanding. The architecture of the village has been refreshed with new and rich color pallet which gives it a western  appearance. Nagesh’s villagescapes are very unique and his style of applying colours on each of his works makes him iconic in his field. The heavenly feel of his villages, tempts the buyers and the art enthusiast to grab a piece of his creation.
Through his works the artist tries to depict the necessity of cleanliness, peace, and if the    world follows this, this place where we live can turn into a holy village. This view comes from the energy level and the focus of a person, who lived his early life in a village. A view that is and will be pure and consistent.
