Event Description : THEATRE : Barefoot presents "Snakes" English Play

'Three Hearings on the Existence of Snakes in the Human Bloodstream' is an entertaining and ultimately thought-provoking account of the divisiveness of the human race in a parallel universe not very different from our own. The unique, interactive format, which features live, original music and choral singing, is designed to recall the spirit of questioning.

An adaptation of the science-fiction story by James Alan Gardner, the play examines how ‘otherness’ is manufactured, and how differences between human beings are willfully magnified, preserved and even worshipped. The audience’s questions become a part of the performance, as do the actors’ own reflections and associations.
