Event Description : EXHIBITION "Rhythm of Nature" Solo Show of sculptures by Artist Amit Singh.

Amit carries his father’s legacy forward by creating these spectacular sculptures, he has  it in his genes and very consciously he chooses to continue his connect with Nature. His  works depicts elements of nature such as the roots, creepers, the patterns created  naturally by nature - forms of waves & curves. The whole series called ‘Rhythm’ presents  the undulating forms of human figures to natural formations in our environ. The figures  are suggestive of female figure; faces and some of the forms are commonly pierced or  contain hollow space. The semi abstraction works add significantly to the orchestrated  symphony.
Amit says “I continue to compose the different forms from stones and marble that are  gifts to us from nature and as a contribution from me I return it to nature with the humane  touch.”

“Since childhood I have spent time around stones and marble, earlier when I began I  used to follow the whole process of drawing etc. before engraving but as I moved ahead  with time and experience, I developed the confidence to just visualize my creation and  created the 3D sculptures of stone and marble.”

The artist through his works want to leave a message for each one of us – Its not too late   we still have time to preserve nature. His inspiration comes from Nature in its true form,  very evident in each of his work. Specifically the work which goes without mention is the  one with two faces on top of the building – here the sculptor is trying to convey; how  urbanization has destroyed the environmental balance. The artist reaches out to the  masses through this small attempt and is hopeful that these sculptures hold a meaning    in each of our lives.
