Event Description : "Say, what?" a contemporary dance duet that explores sound, embodiment and body language. As a conversation with a deaf dancer, it is performed in complete silence, and slides between using and abandoning codified language. By lending itself to abstract proportions, it questions the idea of spoken language as the basis for meaning-making. This performance opens up a space to talk about inclusion, access and privilege, as well as the politics of sound. Featuring Avantika Bahl and Vishal Sarvaiya.
