Event Description : Delhi By Foot (DBF) presents Pujo Aaschey! Bengali Culture, Durga Idols, Food & Photo Walk

st a week before Durga Puja mania hits #Delhi's "Mini-Bengal" i.e. CR Park, this is the place to be in to enjoy the colours, the lights, the flavours and the cultural nuances of the quintessential Bengali, anywhere in the world!
Be it 'Friends Ki Gupshup' which is the age-old Bengali 'Adda' over some Bengali 'Chaa' (Tea) amidst the irresistible aroma of munchies like ‘Telay-Bhajas' (Veg-Fritters) or the Raj-era Mutton Chops & Fish Fry....or gorging on the tang of 'Phuchkaas' (Gol Gappas) & Jhalmuri (Puffed Rice with Masalas), sweetness of Rossogolla and....the whiff of Durga Pujo!

Aaah Durga Puja...the annual festival of the mightiest female Hindu Goddess Shakti, it is bey...ond religion for Bengalis! It is all about shopping, rituals like 'mahalaya', 'chokhu daan', competitions for children and variety of cultural shows; art, poetry and songs; and discussions on Rabindranath Tagore, particularly his works relevant to the 'Sharodiya' (Puja's Autumnal) ambience.

If the madding crowds of Durga Pujas isn't your cup of tea, then join our true-blooded Bengali co-founder, Ramit Mitra as he takes you around his favourite Puja spots, a sort of proverbial Trailer of Durga Puja at CR Park!!!
The ONLY WALK OF ITS KIND IN #DELHI will help you see final touches by artisans on 20 feet-high Durga Idols & the gigantic 'CR Park Puja Pandals' (Puja Tents) that are almost complete with their exquisite decorations & lighting....immerse oneself in the 'Bangla Culture' with a musical/dance performance and sit down for a typical Bengali dinner, carefully chosen by Ramit...

So rouse the foodie, connoisseur of culture & photographer in you…and feel the beat of a Bengali heart for a few hours...and we promise you will be back for more!

(The presentation will be done in English, Hindi & Bangla!!!)
