Event Description : MUSIC : A musical week

The Piano Man Jazz Club’s musical style is a concoction of Jazz and Blues with a mix of Contemporary, Rock, Funky, Classical and pop vibes. To portray its love for music, The Piano Man Jazz Club is hosting a week full of  live performances to get you singing and dancing in no time!

Schedule : 

Saby – Monday, 28th August’17
Saby is a musician from Kashmir. He currently performs as a singer songwriter using an acoustic guitar and his vocals. Saby is trained in Hindustani Shastriya Sangeet since the age of 10, and has been playing Ragas ever since. He accompanied his grandfather, who is now a retired professional Raagi, on Tabla and the secondary harmony player. Saby has been a part of four bands called Zero, Zaun Medusae, The Nerds, and The Roving Sikhs.
He has been playing the guitar for over 3 years now. He is also a trained Tabla player, Harmonium player and a western classical Pianist. He can also play Harmonica, Flute and Drums. He is also trained in the Western Classical Music and is an avid listener of Liszt, Bach, Beethoven, etc. Saby has been performing as a singer songwriter for a couple of years now. He has played at numerous places at his native place and across the country. 

Crayonn – Tuesday, 29th August’17
Crayonn is a pop and blues band based out of Delhi, India. The band is known for its versatile and unusual covers. The band covers many genres like Blues, Pop and is inspired from all the old legends including Elvis Presley, John Lennon, Billy Joel, Janis Joplin, Bob Dylan, Don Mclean, Eric Clapton, Neil Diamond, Elton John, Chris De Burgh, Lionel Richie, Ronan Keating and some new ones including Passenger, Coldplay, Adele, Ed Sheeran, John Mayer, James Blunt and more.  

Luis Trio – Wednesday, 30th August’17
Loic is a French Jazz Guitarist. He is a graduate in Jazz Guitar (Conservatoire de Chambery) and Sound Engineering. He has performed in France and Switzerland with his band 'Luis quartet' comprising drums, upright bass, guitar and sax tenor, playing self-made composition and arrangement. He also taught guitar from 2008 to 2012. Loic now lives in Delhi where he is working on a project collaborating with local and foreign artists. He continues his study of tabla under the able guidance of Ustad Rashid Tirakwa.

Jive Can – Thursday, 31st August’17
Jive Can is Delhi's freshest full-time Blues band. They've been around for a little over a year and in this short span, have already played for most pubs around the city and have started work on their first full length studio album. Last Christmas they released their first single 'Be Your Man’. Their last two years has been a self-study in the Blues genre playing with it, fusing it, concocting it and attempting to find our own sound.

The Copycats – Saturday, 2nd  September’17
The CopyCats was formed in February 2015 by Prabhtoj Singh and Aman Sagar who are musicians by profession and have been playing live in New Delhi for the past 6 years with various bands and collectives that includes genres like Pop, Rock, Blues, Neo soul, Funk and Rnb. They graduated together from Kirori Mal college and were part of its prestigious music society named MUSOC which is 35 years old and has produced some of the finest bands in India like Parikrama, K.K., Five8 and Jester to name a few.
