Kaushik & Sanjeeta – Monday, 10th July’17
Kaushik is bangalorean by origin, he is a multi-instrumentalist with the guitar as his primary instrument. Progressive rock being his main genre, he is well versed with ideals from jazz, soul, funk and RnB.
Sanjeeta Bhattacharya on vocals is a Delhi based vocalist who recently graduated from the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Boston. She began her journey in music learning Hindustani Classical music for 8 years. She has performed at various venues in India, Boston and Spain including Boston Symphony Hall alongside A.R. Rahman etc.
Mountain Fishmen - Tuesday, 11th July'17
Mountain Fishmen is a Delhi based band formed by Arjun and Syd. Syd hails from the hills of Darjeeling while Arjun is from the suburbs of New Delhi. The band owes its stylistic inspiration to artists like the Beatles, Pink Floyd, John Mayer, Arctic Monkeys, Ed Sheeran etc. They are currently putting forth their acoustic rendition of originals as well as upbeat and mellow covers.
Rahul Misra Enquiry Commission – Wednesday, 12th July'17
Rahul Misra Enquiry Commission is a new experimental rock n roll project based out of New Delhi. The project is spearheaded by vocalist / writer / guitar player, Rahul Misra. The music pulls in influences from alternative, progressive and punk music, amongst other subconscious currents. Anirudh Subramaniam came onboard RMEC, initially as Producer / Sound Designer for the first album. He is an accomplished, multi-genre guitarist / vocalist, and has been associated with Delhi based acts, the likes of Artistes Unlimited and Plok. RMEC’s solid rhythm section is rounded off by New Delhi scenesters Harshit Misra (on bass), and Aveleon Giles (on drums). They are both highly versatile and coveted instrumentalists, and have collaborated with an impressive list of Indian and international acts, across a range of musical styles.
Nush Lewis – Thursday, 13th July'17
Nush Lewis is a harpist-singer-songwriter based in Mumbai, India. She has been performing as a solo act, band and collaborating with various artists since 2012. Nush’s pensive, moody compositions were left mostly acoustic until Ayan began breathing his own slice of sonic life into the music in 2014. The duo released their debut EP “Fused” in 2015 to much acclaim. Her live act can morph into various shapes and sizes ranging from a solo acoustic set up to a complete band set up. Nush Lewis’s band setup comprises of harp, two vocalists, bass and drums.
Ankur Sabharwal – Friday, 14th July'17
Ankur Sabharwal is one of the most prolific and talented vocalists in the music scene. From playing lead roles in iconic musicals like West Side Story, Grease, Evita, Fame etc. to being a recording artist for films and TV commercials, he brings a special and evocative quality to the musical projects he is part of. His heart beats for rock and roll, however his vocal repertoire encompasses pop, R&B, funk and soul with equal ease. He is the front man for his band Gone Fishing, acclaimed for their on-point live performances and cutting-edge compositions. He is joined on stage by Shivam Khare (Keyboards), Sonic Shori (Bass) and Arjun Mathur (Drums) with a special appearance by Sahil Vasudeva (Piano) and Laura Santana (Vocals).
Paddy and Friends – Saturday, 15th July'17
Paddy is one of India's most talented jazzmen and the leading Latin jazz pianist in the country. He started his life in music on the piano at the age of six. Since that time, he has been extensively studying Western Classical, Jazz (with Madhav Chari), Latin, Latin jazz and North Indian classical music. He has performed in many prestigious venues and festivals across India and has been a regular artist of the Congo Square Jazz Festival for past 8 years. He has performed in the World's biggest jazz festival, the Java Jazz Festival where he received accolades form great names of jazz including George Benson, Roy Hargrove and Joey de Franscesco.
