Event Description : DANCE : Family Portrait - A Kathak Baithak. 

A family of dancers comes together on stage to present a personal history of Kathak. The Ganganis--exponents of the Jaipur Gharana--are a family of dancers and percussionists that has been steeped in the art for generations. Three of these generations will spend the evening sharing not only their music, dance and jugalbandis, but also anecdotes and tales from their personal history; a story that is inextricably tied to the world of kathak. For those interested in the history and traditions of the form and the gharana this presentation is a window into how it all plays out. 

Featuring, Harish Gangani, Bhavani Gangani, Sanjeet Gangani, Nayanika Gangani, Yogesh Gangani, Kishore Gangani, Mohit Gangani, Nishit Gangani,Vinod Gangani. 

Special guest : Rajendra Gangani.
