Event Description : THEATRE / DANCE : Cultural Cocktail: Youth for Art

As a part of its 'Save the Language' campaign, Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust has launched a unique fest - ‘Cultural Cocktail: Youth for Art’ - a confluence of artistic and cultural talent that aims to promote and popularize literature through its adaptation into vibrant art forms across the world.

It endeavors to showcase young artists, in their pursuit of expression and bring culture at the center stage through art & innovation.
‘Cultural Cocktail: Youth for Art’ brings together Theatre director Aarushi Thakur Rana, Kathak dancer Sanchita Abrol and Jazz dancer Anmol Jamwal on a common platform and gives them the opportunity to enthral the audience with their mesmerizing performances.

The cultural extravaganza is a part of KVM Trust's 5-City Concert Tour that strives to showcase the talent of young performers.

Kunwar Viyogi Memorial Trust is an amalgamation of various cultural, artistic, social and educational endeavours that aim to create a talent pool and provide multiple platforms for students, artists, writers and cultural groups, who otherwise struggle to showcase their talent.

Instituted in the memory of renowned Dogri litterateur, editor, columnist and Sahitya Akademi Awardee Group Captain Randhir Singh (1942-2015), popularly known as `Kunwar Viyogi’ in literary circles, the Trust strives to promote and popularise Dogri language, create jobs that will, in turn, make the language more sustainable and cause worthy.

Education and innovation are two prime areas through which the Trust aims to revive and preserve the Dogri language, especially amongst the youth, apart from promoting the Dogri culture across India with the help of like-minded people and organisations.

Taking inspiration from Kunwar Viyogi's belief that talent deserves to be nurtured and shared with the world, the Trust offers scholarships to male and female toppers pursuing MA in Dogri at the University of Jammu, literary award to aspiring writers in association with Dogri Sanstha Jammu and Youth Art Innovation Award for creative interpretation of unique world literature and art forms, among other initiatives.
