Event Description : DANCE : Urshilla Dance Company presents "Dance Xplosion... BFAB 2017!!!"
one of its kind dance competition in Delhi 
and an initiative for promoting excellent young talent that usually goes unrecognized.

More than 20 soloists, 10 duet performances , 500 dance students through 25 group acts, 
NGO Dance Crews, Professional Performances by leading dance companies and choreographers

Mentored by leading performers, top dance companies, celebrity choreographers and artists like
Meher Malik, Sahil Aneja a.k.a Sazzie, Fernando, Sanjay Khatri, Ritika Chandra, 
Mr. Santosh Nair, Padmashri Astaad Deboo Sir, Nathaniel Parchment from London, Yuko, Swag Gang Crew ( international Hip Hop Championship Runners up), Nikolina Nikoleski, The Danceworx (Ashley Lobo), Guru Rama Vaidyanathan
who not only feature on the MENTORING PANEL but also guide students with clear steps
on how to follow their dream as a dancer.

ABOUT
·         Dance Xplosion is an initiative to help youth feel empowered that they can approach us. In other countries colleges are adopted by corporate houses and sports brands, but in India that is not the case. And we want to kick start something like that in the forthcoming years
·         Our whole sole aim through this competition is to help youth feel a sense of direction and motivation towards the performing arts
·         Dance is still not treated as an industry in India and most importantly many youth who aspire to take dance up as a career have to battle parental pressure, financial struggle, lack of dance education due to lack of resources and above all lack of clarity so as to how to make it a fruitful career for themselves. Bfab is the platform that addresses all these issues for students
·         All leading dance companies are coming together under one wing to promote dance and help young talent find direction and purpose (it is the first time in India that such an initiative has ever taken place for dance)!!!!
·         A lot of these dance students who shall be performing come from very humble backgrounds where it is very difficult for their parents to support their dance education or even their dance clothing. As a result many students give up their dreams without fully doing justice to it. BFAB STAGE IS GIVING THEM THE RESOURCES AND THE RECOGNITION TO FOLLOW THEIR DREAM! In the solo category there are many dancers who come from very poor backgrounds
·         This event is a spectrum to enhance the performing arts and also to generate placements and a flow in the genre of dance. Hence we have invited some of the leading professionals to associate with us for the cause including celebrity artists
·         The whole incentive of this event is to bring a change in the mindsets of people towards dance as a career. And to also broaden the horizon of dance in INDIA
About UDC
·         Urshilla Dance Company is a young dynamic, continually growing and evolving dance company that explores the possibility of individuals to bring out their own inner vocabulary. Exploring the dance forms of Mayurbhanj Chhau, Lyrical Movement (Jazz, Hip Hop and Modern), Indian and Western Folk Forms like Dangi, Gothi pua, Garba, Bihu and Irish Tap Dancing, Charleston Techniques, Broad way Forms – the team evolves its own contemporary vocabulary under the guidance of Bhavini Misra, the artistic Director of UDC.
A brief profile of Bhavini Misra 
·         International lying travelled across more than 29 countries Bhavini Misra is a brilliant performer and is trained in 11 different genres of dance. She conducts regular workshops and currently mentors her dance company Urshilla Dance Company that has given opportunities and birth to some amazing young choreographers who have gone on to Mumbai as well as have become faces to reckon with. 
·         She has worked with more than 65000 students across different schools and colleges and dance centres of India and has also been called one of the youngest and most aspiring choreographers of today!! 
·         Her theme choreographies have been critically acclaimed by some of the most eminent dance critics. 
·         Under her guidance her company has gone on to become one of the top dance companies in the dance fraternity in just a span of 4 years. Her vision is for dance to find a home of support through Dancexplosion Bfab as many of these students merely live on passion. 
·         The NGO dance crews have absolutely no support but through this competition they are paid an amount that can help them in great endeavours like getting good flooring for their dance training , investing in dance education etc.
