At showtime, the lights will be turned up, sound will be turned down, creating a sensory friendly environment for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (or anyone for whom the environment is suitable & their families), and the audience is welcome to walk, dance, shout or sing!
Please join ACE & PVR this World Autism Awareness Day for a very inclusive movie watching experience!
About ACE: A school for autistic children, ACE was conceived with the vision of improving the level and quality of autism related interventions in India. ACE aims to utilize cutting-edge research and standardized educational practices to improve the outcome for children with moderate-to-severe autism.
ACE has been conceptualized in collaboration with Boston based New England Centre for Children (www.necc.org), which has four decades of experience in transforming lives of children with autism through education, research, and technology. The programme at ACE, first of its kind in India, is completely data driven and based on the principles of Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA), with an approach of a 1:1 student-teacher ratio.
ACE was founded by Dr. Archana Nayar, driven by her passion and love for children with a special need. Her endeavour was to set up a school and a diagnostic centre for Autistic children. Her own son being autistic, Dr. Nayar has a deeper insight on autism, and is extremely passionate about increasing autism awareness in the country.
Dr. Archana Nayar will also be available for contributory articles, features, inputs & interviews.
