Event Description : Sadhya- A unit of performing arts cordially invites you to experience it's a new choreographic work "Khoj – a search" on 10th March and Game of Dice on 11th March (Based on National Epic-Mahabharata), in association with Sangeet Natak Academi, on the occasion of the commemorating its 18 years.

This piece is an attempt to portray the day to day chaos, confusion, competitiveness, conflict in the present day life of individuals. Even with the existence of all of this chaos, the individual has a choice, a choice to step out of this confusion, not be a part of the rat race where he searches for a process that makes him turn more inwards. The production showcases how this choice affects not only him but everything around him including his dreams, family and friends.

The production is choreographed by Santosh Nair, who holds immense degree in classical dancing infused with contemporary style. The music for the production will be composed by Upmanyu Bhanot and Rishi Sharma.

Sadhya will also be presenting its much acclaimed production, “The Game of Dice” on March 11th (Saturday) at Meghdoot Theatre I from 7.30 pm. Though the subject is from our National Epic-Mahabharata, its treatment is on a contemporary line, where aspects like music and costumes have been experimented and highlighted upon to create a different feel and look. The production is interspersed in various sections with our own interpretation of both the characters and their conflicts during the play.

The second production will be Kathakali showing performances of the artists with its rigorous, dramatic and vibrant outlook. Mayurbhanj Chhau is very much choreographed with its high energy, control and martial arts spirit and Contemporary dance with its creativity and experimentation.
