DANCE : Gati Dance Forum presents
“Zenith by Maria Campos and Guy Nader as part of 'Music & Performing Arts' Series

About the performance: Zenith is a poetic and choreographic manifestation, a physical, sound and visual exercise which explores the space as a score within sound and movement, within what it’s seen and perceived. ZENITH considers time as a fundamental concept, its metric measurements and application of the oscillations and rhythms.
Contemplates time through the existing rhythm in everything we do, rhythm that marks the passage of time and that is always present in what surrounds us and we do not realize how time passes until we see the change already made. This duet is the fifth collaboration between Guy Nader | Maria Campos. ZENITH was premiered in BIPOD,
Beirut International Platform of Dance 2012. An extract of Zenith has received the B-Motion prize awarded with an artistic residency in Bassano del Grappa, Italy and a residency during 2013 for a new creation in Universidad Carlos III in Madrid in Certamen Coreográfico de Madrid 2012. GN | MC use long aluminium sticks as an elongation of their extremities. Sticks that swing and cut the air to create rhythmical sound patterns leading to a certain music composition made by the performers. “We are interested in the artisanal side and approach to create sound and music. Using our own energy and movement to recycle the sound of the swinging sticks as an element to compose the “soundscape” of the performance.“
