Event Description : A Photo Walk Through Daryaganj – Where Books Come Alive

Old Delhi, or Shahjahanabad, evokes images of grand Mughal architecture and its diverse food culture, but this historic site is also full of bustling bazaars. The southern entrance, known as Delhi Darwaza, is the venue of the iconic Sunday Book Bazaar, circa 1964, which extends along Faiz Bazaar. The walk will start at Turkman Gate and end at the Jama Masjid, covering some of the surrounding markets like Meena Bazaar and Urdu Bazaar. We will also cover several heritage buildings, including Sunehri Masjid, Martello Tower, Ghata Masjid and parts of the original city walls. Join us on our premiere photo walk as we capture together the vibrancy of this booklover’s paradise with the walk leader Ayan Ghosh walking you through the basics of photography.
