Event Description : EXHIBITION “The Struggle Is On” Solo show of paintings by Ms. Niku Guleria.

Here I am again working feverishly on my show, “The Struggle Is On”, joining bits by bits the new forms and concepts smeared with intriguing shades and hues into new artistic dispensation on every canvas.
My work is focused on the man who is exposed to the vagaries of societal values and advancing technology, nevertheless, he is still struggling to come to terms with all his wear and tear in soul and mind.
With the advent of machine age he had had a big “crisis of his identity” as a result he was caught in imbroglio i.e. never-ending struggle with his creation – The Machine. His inner emotional being put to stake every time he tried to come in closer proximity to his mechanical being. 
Finally he learned to live in peace putting his final sentiments on the backburner and giving himself totally to his futuristic dreams and aspirations. In the process the old traditions, social values and concepts are eroding slowly but surely. The highly techno-savvy human beings fully equipped with modern ways of behaviorism are generating shock-waves to those who are lagging far behind them in all respects.
In my recent work I have often broken into horizontal and vertical lines, and have more often used colors which give credence to the expression of my rebellious thinking, thereby navigating into some other world I am trying to make others understand the reality of this wholly mechanized world in a better way.
