Concept
A single spark can set off a fire. And so can a word inspire a world of thoughts. Once upon a time Copernicus challenged the astronomy prevalent at the time, saying that the sun and not the earth was the centre of the solar system. Many eons ago, Socrates with his idiosyncratic beliefs gave rise to a set of mind blowing philosophical theories. Then again, it was one idea of Newton that gave us the laws of motion. They call these inspirations and ideas. they believe that the world is composed of these little sparks; sparks that travel all over the world in search of minds open enough to receive them; sparks that seek to cohabit with ideals and give birth to amazing phenomena and scintillating ideas; sparks that are set to ignite and go forth on their incredible journeys. 
They at TEDxIIFTDelhi realise the value of each such spark and the need to ignite them. They believe that each of us has that little something within ourselves and only a little push is required to ignite that fire within- the fire of knowledge, wisdom, will, and freedom.

The theme for the TEDxIIFTDelhi 2016 edition is Ignite.
Ignite is the passion of an all-consuming idea, just like a flame consumes all that it comes across. For us it means to Ignite the spark to learn and to be absolutely determined to a cause. It is the means to inspire and to imagine, to not rest till the goal is achieved, come what may. It marks the start of something new that builds from a small spark into a raging inferno. It represents the path that a person traverses, one who develops into an individual with thirst for success and an ambition to prove himself/herself to the world.
