Afterglow is a Jazz-funk quartet based out of New Delhi, India. An affinity for improvisation and playing original music brought together.

Rie Ona / Saxophone, clarinet
Saxophone and clarinet player in the band , Afterglow.
After taking clarinet lessons, she began playing alto sax in a big Jazz band. She has been a regular session musician and has been actively playing with jazz and funk bands in India.
Sonic Shori / Bass
Is a student of Grammy-nominated Greek-American musician Panagiotis Andreou. He has comprehensive stage experience having collaborated with musicians coming from different genres including classical, fusion, funk and metal. His playing combines complexity with cohesion, playing melodies with dexterity, musicality and tenacity.
Shivam Khare / Keyboard
Keyboardist Shivam Khare is a unique and well-rounded musician with a plethora of harmonic language. Adept at both western classical music and contemporary music he also studied Jazz at the prestigious jazz school SAM under New York based virtuoso pianist Jason Lindner, and was also adjudged as the “Most Distinguished Student”. Apart from being a gifted keyboard player he is also a composer and arranger.
Manoj Mavely / Drums
Manoj Mavely is the first ever drummer from the Indian sub-continent to be awarded a $28,000 Scholarship to study at the world renowned Berklee College of Music, Boston. Manoj performs in contemporary Afro-Cuban, Jazz, Funk, Rock and Brazilian styles. and has played extensively with Chicago based Jazzman Tyris Washington amongst many others.
