PRADYUMNA SINGH MANOT a.k.a. PADDY started his life in music on the piano at the age of six. Since that time he has been extensively studying Western Classical, Jazz, Latin, Latin jazz and North Indian classical music.
At the age of 8 he started performing regularly for the All India Radio in their “Calling All Children” programme.
In Western Classical music, Pradyumna has finished his grade 8 in piano from the Royal Schools of Music, London and given numerous solo recitals and performed with the city orchestras, the main one being A'telier de Musique conducted by Abraham Mazumdar. His main performances included a solo recital of the works of Chopin and the performance of Mozart Piano concertos. He took part in numerous music competitions at various venues winning top prizes in all of them.
Pradyumna studied North Indian classical music for three years. He studied tabla under Ustad Sabir Khan of the Farrukhabad Gharana and vocal music under Kumar Mukherjee and Ustad Raza Ali Khan of the Patiala Gharana.
Through Pradyumna's studies of North Indian Classical music and Jazz music, he has given many concerts with Indian musicians such as Grammy winner Pandit Vishwa Mohan Bhatt, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Majumdar, Ustad Rashid Khan, Ustad Sabir Khan, Pandit Vikku Vinayakram, Ustad Taufique Qureshi, Ustad Shujaat Khan, Ustad Raza Ali Khan, Pt. Tarun Bhattacharya, Pandit Subhankar Banerjee, Pandit Gopal Burman, Pandit Tejendra Narayan Mazumdar, Pandit Jyoti Guho, Pandit Vaidyanath Suresh, Pandit Satish Kumar, Pandit Debashish Bhattacharya, Arif Khan, Rishabh Dhar, and Arshad Ali Khan among others. With Ustad Raza Ali Khan he is working on a duo project between jazz piano and Indian Classical vocal.
Pradyumna has worked with many dancers across different dance forms. He worked with Ballerinas Leah Curtis and Emily McLoughlin where he composed the score for the performance called “Memory Space’’. He also did other projects with them. He has toured and performed with the world famous tap dancer Jason Samuel Smith and world famous kathak maestro Pandit Chitresh Das. He also regularly works with salsa and hip hop dancers and is closely associated with Salsa company “Mambo City”.
He was a part of the Saturday Night Blues Band and performed with them for two years spanning over a hundred performances thus integrating the Blues genre of music into his personal style.
Alongside the Indian legend of Latin music, Monojit Datta, Pradyumna co-founded the band Los Amigos. Los Amigos at the time was the only Latin Jazz ensemble in India and performed extensively promoting Latin Jazz and salsa parties alike. Los Amigos made its international debut in March 2011 at the Java Jazz Festival where greats such as Carlos Santana, George Benson, and the Afro-Cuban All Stars performed. Los Amigos recorded three albums as well. Pradyumna continues his passion for Latin Jazz piano with two more bands, Latination and Jazzeando alongside French percussionist Emmanuel Simon.
Pradyumna’s main focus has been jazz piano. He took it up full time at the age of 16 and founded the band “Nebula” which was a band of teenagers and they performed at many places in the city of Kolkata and received great appreciation for playing jazz. Later he founded the jazz quartet, “Four On A Swing” which has featured stalwart musicians of India such as Sumith Ramachandran and Monojit Datta. “Four On A Swing” has performed many places including the Congo Square Jazz Festival. He is studying jazz piano under India’s best jazz musician Madhav Chari. At the Java Jazz Festival, he received accolades from all the great jazz musicians he jammed with including George Benson, Joey DeFrancesco, Roy Hargrove and many others. He has performed with American Jazz Singer Clare Michaud, Canadian Trombonist Alistair Kay (who played for Ella Fitzgerald and Frank Sinatra) and star bassist Steve Zerlin. He is frequently invited by various musicians to perform on their jazz ensembles such as Australian jazz guitarist Alex Stuart and Indian guitar legend Sumith Ramachandran. He has performed in many venues across India, Hong Kong, Indonesia, UAE, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Macau, and Bangladesh.
Pradyumna has been teaching music since the age of 18. He was the piano teacher at Birla High School for five years teaching boys between the ages of 10-18. He teaches music privately and has students of all ages and professions. He has conducted workshops on various subjects within music at places such as the Rotary Club of India, Weaver’s Studio, Suchitra Art Studio, and others. He takes music education as a passion and teaches on various things such as the history of music, the tradition of music, the relationship between culture and music, the connections, similarities and differences of various music genres. The unique style of his teaching is that his approach is purely from a musical point of view where he shows everything practically through the piano, audio and visual demonstrations. The student and listener get an insight through the language of music rather than a reader’s perspective. An insight that they can practically apply whenever they listen to music.

Aayushi Karnik is a 20 year old Guitarist/Singer /Songwriter from Surat, Gujarat . Initially being part of a few bands she got to explore various genres of music ranging from the Blues to Punk rock. But it was soon a realization that her passion was the Blues.
Aayushi started playing guitar at the age of 12 though gave a serious thought of working hard on the instrument when she entered high school. Being a Convent student she was encouraged to participate in School Choir and other Carol singing competitions. Her first proper band that was more of a duo was named as ‘Zephyr’ consisting of herself and Hardik Desai. The duo survived for almost a year composing a few tunes of their own.
As a kid Aayushi used to watch a lot of Warner Bros. cartoons and was fascinated by the background score which lead her to try to transcribe the horn sections played in series on her guitar. She was later introduced to Chuck Berry by a friend which got her interest in Rock n Roll and later the Blues. Soulmate, a Shillong based Blues band inspired her heavily to stick to the Blues despite the odds of being in Gujarat . Soon she got aware of the Mahindra Blues Fest that is held in Mumbai, through the internet and was dumbstruck after watching the performances by Buddy Guy, Taj Mahal, Robert Randolph, Soulmate and Blackstrat Blues. Aayushi was soon driven to form a Blues band but the conditions in the local music scene couldn’t permit her to do so initially and thus, she formed an acoustic band with a friend accompanying her on guitars. The acoustic band was called ‘Red Blues’ and then soon the rest of the members joined in.
Being a former Architecture student, she soon realized that she wanted to play the guitar and take music professionally . Currently, she is working on her own music and planning to go solo as a musician and songwriter.
