Event Description : MUSIC : Select CITYWALK In association with Krishnaprerna Charitable Trust announces Raasrang World Flute Festival.

Christened as the most happening shopping and entertainment destination of the capital, Select CITYWALK takes pride to announce the 7th edition of Raasrang World Flute Festival.

The festival will witness participation of flutists from Slovak, Latvia and Mexico forming the international component of the festival. Major attractions will include Mala Rumba and Jankar from Mexico, Riga Saxophone Quartet, from Latvia and Michal Smetanka from Slovak. 

Juan Carlos Lorenzana, flute player is considered as one of the outstanding classic and flamenco flute player mastering also the transverse flute bansuri ( Northern India flute) and Hindu music accomplished player. Michal Smetanka from Slovak is a multi-instrumentalist who not only specializes in folk music, but also produces the instruments for it himself.  His repertoire is dominated by the original songs from the regions of Spiš and Šariš in Slovakia, especially songs of the pastoral culture.

Hosted by the Krishnaprerna Charitable Trust together with Select CITYWALK, the Raasrang World Flute Festival is also being accompanied by United Nations Information Centre for India and Bhutan and ICCR (Indian Council for Cultural Relations), Slovak Presidency of the Council of the European Union and Embassy of the Republic of Latvia to the Republic of India.
