The biggest names in the DnB and electronica scene playing under one roof on one night - Amit (UK), Tapan Raj & Gaurav Raina (Grain) live!

Nehru Place Social is hosting the meanest & sickest Drum N Bass party – Heavy 14.  Three of the biggest names in the music industry are coming together to play live in the city this Thursday, i.e., 22nd September.

Social and Heavy will be hosting one of the most cutting edge and banging DnB producers from the UK, Amit. He is a UK based live music artist, Composer and Producer. He has released two critically acclaimed albums Neverending (2006) and 9 Times (2011) and over thirty slates of vinyl including ‘Killer Driller’, ‘Roots’ and ‘Acid Trip’. Amit has been hailed as one of the most distinctive and original voices within the electronic music industry. He is credited with creating a new and innovative sub genre within electronic music, influencing a generation of new music artists. He was the first music artist within Electronica to begin creating music at his signature ‘half-step’ at 174bpm. A whole range of fellow artists quickly followed suit but AMIT is widely acknowledged as having been the pioneer. His work has been placed in the top 5 'Best Single' and 'Best Producer' categories on the BBC Radio listener polls.

Sharing the stage with Amit are the pioneers in the Indian music industry Tapan Raj and Gaurav Raina aka Grain.

Tapan Raj is one half of India’s biggest electronica bands, Midival Punditz. He has been producing and performing both as a DJ and live artist all over the world since 1997 with his band. In this new avatar, Tapan wants to focus on all styles of electronica that he has not explored with his band.This new style revolves around more instrumental electronic music with emphasis on underground dance styles like breakbeat, old school techno, acid house, dubstep, hip hop, DnB and mashups.

One of the stalwarts of the Indian Electronic Music scene, Gaurav Raina is better known for his role as one-half of India’s biggest electronica pioneers, The Midival Punditz. Now, also known for his latest solo project, Grain, he’s helping re-define the electronic music scene in India. As a DJ, who plays cross-genre, experimen- tal sets and explores new scenes and sounds, GRAIN’s music flows from Electronica to Indian Electronica and Drum n Bass to Dubstep.
