Event Description : "After the Flowers" Japanese film screening with English Subtitles

Short Synopsis - Based on a short story by noted historical novelist Shuhei Fujisawa, the film is set in Unasaka, Japan, during the Edo period.It is the season of cherry blossoms - Ito, a young woman known for her excellent swordsmanship, is approached by Magoshiro, a young samurai who has heard of her skills and wishes to challenge them someday. They fall in love with each other but fate seems to have other plans for them. Will their love prevail? Or is their doomed fate already written in the stars?
