Event Description : EXHIBITION "Origami Red / Origami Gold" A Show of Folded Art, Installations and Products by Ankon Mitra / Hexagramm Design PL

Origami is an Ancient Japanese technique of folding paper. The Exhibition seeks to break the conventional notion that Origami can only be created in its truest sense with paper and paper-like materials. Pushing the boundaries of this ancient craft, the exhibition showcases folding and folding derived works in aluminium, stainless steel, brass, paper board, leather, fabric, wood and even ceramic. This is the work of architect and origami artist Ankon Mitra and his Studio Hexagramm Design PL. Ankon has dedicated his life to the magic of folding, and experiments with thousands of different ways of folding, applying them to as many different kinds of materials as it may be physically possible to do.
