Get your monthly dose of the newest music with artists launching their LPs, EPs and albums. Social Spotlight gives artists all the ingredients for an ideal launch - a jam-packed space with mind-blowing energy complete with top-notch production. A platform to display an artist’s creativity, it seeks to showcase the mad musical output and bring music enthusiasts together every month. The purpose of Social Spotlight is to put a spotlight on the most cutting-edge sounds being made in the country.

The artists in focus for this month with Social Spotlight are Lucia & Her Soul Brothers and Play It By Ear. They will playing live back to back at Hauz Khas Social on Sunday, August 28.

A celebration of Neo-Soul, Motown and R&B; Lucia & Her Soul Brothers' music is all about that. A musical journey that began with charitable music projects for many years in different parts of the world now comes up with the launch of an artistic career in India. Originally from the land of melodious diversity, Nagaland, Lucia has the perfect taste of music. Her perfection got shaped at Berklee College of Music, India. Having already received rave reviews from the audience and professionals, the band 'Lucia & Her Soul Brothers' performs covers of R&B, Neo-Soul, Funk, Hip Hop, Jazz, Latin, Motown and Pop tunes.

The performance of the band for the night will be supported by Play It By Ear, an acoustic duo, Martin and Samir. Two college mates who clubbed together for the love of music, their music is based around original lyrics with finger-picking acoustic guitar. After meeting in college and years playing in the same and different bands later, they decided to put all their songs into an album. After a year of gigging, accompanied by multiple competition wins, including the All India Renault Free the Music Competition in 2015, they decided to go full time professional, and released their first album - Flicker Flicker Flash - in March 2016, and are now working on new material, some of which will be debuted at this show.
