Programme Schedule-
Screening of a short documentary film on Pandit Chatur Lal Felicitation of Dr. Vaijyantimala Bali with Pandit Chaturlal Excellence Award Performance by TAAL JUNCTION 2016 marks two grand occasions, firstly 90 th Birth Anniversary of the Tabla Wizard Pandit Chatur Lal and completion of society’s 25 glorious years in field of promotion of Indian classical music.

About Taal Junction -

Taal or Beat is of utmost importance in music. The traditionalists say that the essence of music means confluence of swar, laya and ntritya and Taal Junction brings a merge of all which completes the definition of music. Taal Juncton is produced, composed and arranged by a young heart, percussionist himself Pranshu Chaturlal who took the initiative of merging the classics with modern appearance. While carrying forward these belief and producing music to give listener’s a soul – stirring experience keeping in mind the interest of Indian classical connoisseurs as well as music loving
youth of the nation.

Taal Junction is a culmination and blend of seasoned and amazing musicians who are its life
lines … Garima Arya (Kathak), Nathalie Ramirez (Flute), Mehtab Ali Niazi (Sitar), Danish Ali Khan(Violin) & Naman Sharma (Keyboards). Pranshu’s attempt is to closely knit classical Indian tones in emergence of Western script showcasing the essence of universal music. Thus, Taal Junction is a unique blend of melody and soul, concentrating more on time signatures . With its prominent symphonic and classical influences, the band brings to the ear innovative sounds through its percussions, free falling tones from instruments glazed with the soulful jingle from the ghungroo’s.
