Event Description : EXHIBITION "Figures in Time & Space" a show of Drawings, Watercolors, Lithographs and Woodcuts made by a variety of artists between the 1980s and 2000s. Hailing from different art schools and a variety of cultural backgrounds, what holds these works together is a masterful draughtsmanship that each artist displays.

Jean Bhownagary, Magan Som Parmar, R.B. Bhaskaran, Vrindavan Solanki, Ajit Seal, B. R. Burman, Rabi Narayan Gupta, Gouri Vemula, Aparajita Srimani Naskar, each reveals their strength to lie in the structural form the work assumes where truth is conveyed through an accuracy of the construction of the body. In figures delineated in stillness or motion, these artists tend to leave out realistic details, favoring instead forms created through mass and volume, achieved through the interplay of light and shade.
