Event Description : THEATRE & POETRY "It's Raining Cats, Dogs & Elephants"

A poetry performance of some of the world’s best-loved poems featuring the wild side – animals, forests, storms and seas. The programme presents iconic works such as excerpts from Kalidasa’s Ritusamhara, William Blake’s Tyger Tyger, Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book and T.S. Eliot’s favourite cats. There are funny and fantastic poems by Lewis Carroll, Edward Lear and A.A. Milne, intensely emotional poems by Pablo Neruda, D.H. Lawrence and  our very own Gopal Sharman. Beautiful, witty, emotional, fantastical – its all raining down in the form of poetry. And it’s not just read out, its also sung, danced and performed!
