Jumpstart your weekend at Bunmanchi with Curtain Blue, a veritable combination of haunting vocal melodies and down tempo and bass sensibilities and Else If, a musical spectrum comprising of odd time signatures and rhythms with layered natural and unnatural soundscapes. If all you need to have a good night is great drinks and music, then look no further. The chilled out bar with no frills will have 2 live acts this Friday playing modern electronica live.

Curtain Blue is the solo project of Abhishek Bhatia, vocalist of Delhi-based band, The Circus. He draws inspiration from artists like Radiohead, Moderat and Jon Hopkins and experiments with modern electronica. Abhishek has performed at some of India’s largest music festivals, including Bacardi NH7 Weekender and Magnetic Fields, which led to a collaboration with Robot Koch for his EP, ‘TSUKI’. Curtain Blue’s debut EP, ‘Drones’ saw him travel as far as London as part of an Indian showcase at Alchemy, Southbank Centre’s annual fest.

Else If is a genre-free act from New Delhi comprising of
 G “Force” Arjun & Puneesh Suri. They draw inspiration from sounds around them, live instruments and technology. Their musical ideas are brought to life using acoustic instruments and objects, which later transform and crossbreed with technology to take an entirely new form. G Force was part of now defunct Jalebee Cartel, and has been instrumental in the band’s love for technology. This combined with Puneesh’s classically trained production and engineering skills that he perfected in New York makes for a sound that can best be described as surreal.
