In the last week before 'Chaand Raat', (literally meaning 'Night of Moon' when a glimpse of 'New' moon will herald Id-ul-Fitr, marking end of the Holy month of Ramzan), the streets leading up to Jama Masjid are a riot of lights, colors, festive gaiety and obviously Food!! And on the last Friday before Eid, the 'ANNUAL ALVIDA JUMMA IFTAARI' organised exclusively by DBF inside the sacred courtyard of the grand 350-yr Jama Masjid is an experience you will treasure for a lifetime.
