Event Description : MUSIC "The Variety Hour" live

 The Variety Hour is a swing outfit that was put together early 2008 by a group of likeminded artists that hadbeen playing very different genres for many years. Once they started playing, a sound emerged that is uniqueon the Indian music circuit and deeply rooted in the style of the old jazz giants.

The Variety Hour plays standards covered by greats such as Louis Armstrong, Fats Waller, Bill Evans andChet Baker, and compositions of Ellington, Charlie Parker, Thelonius Monk andothers. It is our desire to playand promote this genre of music in India and entice more people to both listen to and play swing.
