Having forged a reputation throughout Europe’s underground bass scene for her forward-thinking and unrestrained approach in genre-hopping DJ sets, Sarah Farina heads to India in May, as part of Wild City ‘Various Artists’ series 

Fun and fearless in her music selection, Sarah’s monthly nights at OHM Berlin – where she offers an alternative to the four-to the-floor techno that dominates Berlin’s clubs – and stunning Boiler Room sets in the past two years, have positioned as one of Berlin’s premier DJs.

Sarah is the seventh artist to be featured in the ‘Various Artists’ series, the initiative hopes to introduce to Indian audiences some of modern music’s most imaginative and original DJs and producers

The act will be supported by Moniker, aptly named Wild City DJ a.k.a Moniker came into being in 2007 has a peculiar and varied taste in music.

Straddling hip-hop, garage, grime, bass, house, techno, alternative electronica and anything in between, WCDJ always brings an informative set, favouring upfront and left of centre music over yesterday’s tired hits. Having been a part of the underground electronic movement in London for a number of years Moniker brings to the table a fresh and undeniably UK sound to his live show

Sarah Farina, tastemaker extraordinaire:
One of Berlin’s main tastemakers in underground bass scene, Sarah prefers to playfully describe her genre-rejecting style – an unpredictable blend of UK garage, jungle, hip-hop and bass music – as rainbowbass.

Over the past few years she has held her own in line-ups alongside some of the biggest and best names from the music scene like DJ Rashad, Gaslamp Killer, Kode9, David Rodigan, Om Unit. Her sets unite the dance-floor, equally impressive to her peers and those who just want to dance. 

Also, as founder of the Berlin-based event collective Through My Speakers which is now a burgeoning record label, she has helped put unknown producers in the limelight.
