Spawning since 16 years, India’s original Extreme Metal festival returns for its 8th edition this 2016. After dominating Bombay, Pune, Bangalore & Hyderabad in the past, heads will roll, as Domination - The Deathfest make its Delhi debut with a special Doom edition at antiSOCIAL. With artists from all over India flying down for the festival, the festival is a must attend for all metal-heads.

The line-up for Sunday is Shepherd, Primitiv, Winter Gate, Dirge and Fragarak.

Shepherd (Bangalore) - Shepherd is a Bangalore-based sludge/heavy rock band that's been making waves in the underground since its coming together in early 2011. Drawing Influence from the guitar driven sounds of early 90's hard rock (Soundgarden, The Melvins, Eyehategod) and 80's hardcore punk (Black Flag, Discharge), the band has built a reputation for itself as an ever-evolving and unpredictable heavy rock entity.

Primitiv (Bombay) - Primitiv was conceived when Riju Dasgupta and Rajarshi Bhattacharyya (formerly bandmates in Albatross and Workshop) wanted to start a new project together; which was so extremely old school that it was 'primitive'. What started out as a joke has today become an explosive live act,  that has gigged across India and has garnered a loyal fanbase in a small amount of time. The sound of the band is a vile blend of heavy, doom and death metal. A blend the band likes to call- 'Stone Age Metal'. It is an amalgamation of the varied collective influences of all the members.

Winter Gate (Jaipur) – The band is wallowing in the depth of Death Metal music churned out since the early '90s. Progressive and melodic, the band recreates the glory of bands like Yes, Rush, Camel with the melancholy of Katatonia, while retaining the classic appeal of Death Metal and all its power. Winter Gate is unparalleled in its country and to a great extent even worldwide where it comes to creating music with such finesse and poise.

Dirge (Pune) - Dirge was formed in January 2014, strongly influenced by doom metal with the likes of sludge and stoner. Bands like Candlemass, Black Sabbath, Eyehategod, Trouble, Sleep, Melvins, Autopsy, Acid bath etc heavily influence the band's sound.

Fragarak (Delhi) - Fragarak came into existence in early 2011 and laid the foundation for one of the most promising acts to newly emerge out of India that year. The band draws revelation from “Fragarach”, a legendary sword from the Celtic mythology. Fragarak is a lethal blend of melodic tunes accompanied by intense technical rhythms, supported by fiercely independent bass lines, bolstered with decimating drumming, and channeled by lyrical themes delivered through bestial vocals.

Fragarak will make their Deathfest debut with a brand new set!
