Carol , a 12 -year-old Spanish mother and American father, travels to Spain for the
first time in the spring of 1938 with her mother (Aurora). Separated from her father, a pilot in the International Brigades whom she adores, her arrival to the maternal village transforms a family environment full of secrets. She is armed with a rebellious nature, she is opposed to the conventions of a world that is unfamiliar. Complicity with Maruja, life lessons from his
grandfather (Amalio) and her special affection for Tomiche will open the doors to a world of
adult´s feelings that will make your trip a torn, tender, inner vital and unforgettable journey.
