Event Description : Verbum presents 'Speed-the-Plow' English Play.

From the guys who brought you immensely successful plays like the psycho-thriller "Veronica's Room" and the morally ambiguous "The Goat or Who is Sylvia?", Verbum, The English Dramatics Society, Sri Venkateswara College brings you David Mamet's Speed-The-Plow.

Human beings are guided by their individual moral compasses, setting blurred and confused boundaries. But how long before you find yourself on the wrong side of someone else's line? When self interests collide, dilemmas are left to be solved, conflicts are created and the violence resting under civility is finally revealed. 
Is money the single most important driving force in guiding our decisions or does art actually have a leg to stand in today's society?

Speed-the-Plow follows the story of two Senior Indian Film Industry producers, Rajat Arora and Naveen Pandey. Rajat has recently become the CEO of a Production house and struggles with the dilemma of sticking to the methods which got him this far or to do something which he believes is ‘right’. Enter Kaavya, his temporary secretary, who is about to make his decision a lot harder.
