Event Description : 'Daini - Story of A Witch' English/Assamese/Bangla Play.

Set in the tea tribe community of Assam, Daini is the story of a witch, of celebration of cold blooded murder by her own people. It is a chilling account through the Witch’s own words -- a hard hitting story that brutally uncovers issues of witch-hunting, gender politics, power tussle and short lived memory of the urban audience towards the issue. Language English with some Bangla and Assamese. Performed by Nisha Das, Kshitij Jain, Astika Sharma.
