"Oriental Blues" is a musical conversation between professional musicians from Russia and India!
Mehandi Hasan – sitar, Jaipur
Sergey Kuzmishchev – bass guitar, St. Petersburg
Special Guests
Olga Andreeva - vocal, Russia
Pavan Buragohain - guitar, India.
Mehandi Hasan is an Indian musician, vocalist and sitar player. He is bestowed with an enchanting 3.5-octave vocal range. He was the first musician to play the sitar whilst standing up.
Sergey Kuzmishchev - Russian poet and musician. Founder, bass-player and lyricist at Zong Lunar Project. Well-know jazz bass-player from Saint Petersburg, Russia. Travelling and playing with musicians of various countries and cultures is one of paths of his creative process.
Olga Andreeva - singer with wide range of voice abilities and repertoire. She is originally from Saint Petersburg, now living in Delhi. She has music education (studied vocals, guitar, piano and accordion) and experience in studio recording and live shows (around 20 years) including events like public festivals and private parties. Olga used to sing opera and romance in Russia, she is classical music trained. But she never limited herself in terms of music genre, she joined a jazz band and sang pop covers in the restaurants as well as performed arias on festive events.
