Milan. Inspector Monaco, after his wife's death, prefers to keep to himself. Tired of keeping in touch with the people and with violence, he just prefers to remain alone, completely cut-off from the rest of the world. However, when his daughter Linda is found involved in the murder of Mr. Ullrich, Monaco, driven from his responsibilities as a father, joins forces with friend and colleague Levi to try to solve the case and defend Linda. The investigation will uncover a life underground, made of decadence and promiscuity; but, above all, it will shed light on a new and cruel reality that will put the inspector himself face to face with a difficult choice.
