Event Description : Art Heritage presents "Chaos, Mischief-Order, Harmony" a solo show of artworks (Acrylic on Canvas & Paper) by Jai Zharotia the Processual Painter

Jai Zarotia has never hesitated to experiment with ideas and the materiality of form.  Besides working in new materials such as acrylics that offered the possibility of combining transparent glazes with opaque surfaces as well as a buildup of textures, Jai has worked extensively with watercolors, using a host of unorthodox means to develop a wide range of tonalities. Each of these methods is directed towards pushing the image to speak of realities that existed beyond the physical world.


His recent body of work dismantle the idea of power and authority attributed to “masculinity” – there is a certain tenderness of gesture and form, mischief making and childlike curiosity, visualized through careful spatial placement of human, animal and inanimate objects. More often than not, the work oscillates between several different registers  to stir ones imagination as never before.
