Event Description : The Hungry Monkey and Art Collide present The Star Shiners, a collaboration between some of Delhi’s most accomplished musicians, bringing you urban, feel-good grooves and kickass, modern-jazz inspired covers of classic pop tunes and standards. 

The legend goes that Star Shiners are little people who live on, and dedicate their lives to, keeping the Stars squeaky clean – so that no matter who you are, what you do and what our own problems might be, you can always look up and enjoy the sparkly night sky. 

The band hopes that with its music, it can do a little bit of this from right here in Delhi… 

Yamini Joshi: Yamini is a singer-songwriter whose influences include folk, jazz and trip hop. A psychology graduate, she's been actively involved with choirs like The Capital City Minstrels and The Neemrana Foundation. She is currently pursuing her studies in Music Therapy, is a corporate systems analyst by day, and a musician by night

Karan Khosla: Karan has been playing and teaching guitar for nearly two decades and is a classically trained musician – he is also a long-time protégé of jazz guitar icon, Matt Warnock. Karan also plays guitar and writes songs for the wildly popular alternative-rock band, “The Limited Experience”. 

Sreenath S: An expressive and dynamic player with a unique voice on his instrument, Sreenath Sreenivasan is a musical force to be reckoned with. Deeply inspired by nature, he strives to emulate its beauty and diversity in his approach towards life and music. He's a versatile drummer whose proclivity for funk is as much as for Carnatic Rhythms. His nuanced playing and tasteful accompaniment have made him a first call session player in the New Delhi music scene. 

Harshit Misra: Harshit “Hashbass” Misra is an around-the-world in-demand bass and a TC Electronic supported artist. Harshit is a graduate of the Musician’s Institute of Los Angeles. Harshit, “Hashbass”, is the winner of the 2014 outstanding Student award at MI, which saw him become a faculty member at the Musician Institute. During his 7 years as a session player, he's been fortunate to play with acts like Candice Glover (American Idol Winner), Wayne Brady, Girl Radical and Grammy Award winner, Jackie Boyz.
