Event Description : "Silence of The Heavens" a solo show by Mamoon Nomani.

In this series of paintings the abstract geometric forms and static patterns are the result of my decade’s long practice and patience. My use of forms often creates optical illusions that trickily present altered perceptions, playing with the dimensions of weight, height and perspective.

I am drawn to texture, heavy impastos and often packs areas with substantial relief. Some of these paintings are also influenced from global warming. The vast black skies and color changing sun represents my deep concern toward this environmental problem. Light and form are used to enhance the psychedelic intent of my simple yet effective visual vocabulary. And I assume that I oscillate between the dualities of darkness and light, of chaos and order.
