Event Description : 29th Garden Tourism Festival 2016.

Theme: Garden for Environment and Health

The Highlights of this year’s Garden Tourism Festival are as follows:

·   Display of Terrariums, Floral Animals, Potted Plants, Foliage, Medicinal & Herbal Plants, Hanging Baskets, Dahlia, Roses, Cacti, Bonsai, Bougainvillea, cut flowers, nursery stalls, etc.

·  Sale of flowers, plants, organic items, books, medicinal plants, gardening accessories, etc.

· Special Nature walks will be available during the event within the sprawling 22 acres of landscape in Garden of Five Senses. Also, curated experimental tours will be available for differently abled people which is being organized by Planet-Abled.

· Qawwali performances by students of Vidya Bharti School and Ghulam Waris & Ghulam Sabir.

· 3 day non-stop musical extravaganza where various amateurs musicians, music bands and other artists are invited to perform during the event.

· Musical performances by group of differently abled artists will be conducted during the inaugural ceremony of the event.

· Workshops/Lectures/Nukad Nataks on Environment & Health.

· Mini Food Festival will also be organized where people will get to savor the taste of different delicacies like Gohana ki Jalebi, organic food of Navdanaya Kashmiri food, etc.

· Various Cultural Programmes in association with various academies under Delhi Government will be organized to captivate the audience. Cultural performances by a known sufi singer Satinder Sartaj, Bhojpuri singer Malini Awasthi and cultural performances by Rehmat Khan Langra will also be conducted in order to ensure entertainment for visitors.

· Activities like Magic show, On the Spot painting competition for children.

· A Soft Adventure Park will be created at the venue to indulge visitors in various adventure activities.


The festival aims to offer the visitors and tourists with numerous ideas on enhancing the landscape of their vicinity despite crunch of open spaces.
