Event Description : "Twilight in Dilli:Historical & Supernatural Tales in the Jungles of Delhi"

Twilight is when the hostile spirits of the dead, known as ‘Vetaal’ or ‘Undead’ trapped between life and afterlife and who can only be repelled by the chanting of holy mantras/prayers come out to make their presence felt…when the Djinns seem to be the most active…when as it is said in Hindu Mythology ‘Na Din hai Na Raat’…the time which Lord Vishnu chose to slay the Demon King Hiranyakashyap…

Into that Twilight Zone, DBF will take you this Saturday evening….when you would actually walk on the walls of Delhi’s oldest Fort (almost 1100 yrs old)…scout the scene of multiple battles and scores of graves…where Delhi’s oldest forests on Southern Ridge are lit by the flickering city lights, and where a flash of your torch can seemingly transform the most innocent looking tree into the abode of the supernatural and scary!

Our walk offers a whole new way of experiencing the forest of our city and its life at Sunset…walk with us as we recount stories from the age of the Rajput kings of Delhi to the times of the Delhi Sultanate while the sun sets and pale ghostly light of twilight makes the forest trail take on an eerie avatar…

Presentation will be done in mix of Urdu, Hindi & English.
