On 22nd January, 1823 Ferenc Kölcsey poet, literary critic, orator and politician completed the poem that became the Hungarian National Anthem and was set to music by the composer Ferenc Erkel in 1844. This year the celebration has special meaning with the Hungarian writer, László Krasznahorkai winning the International Man Booker Prize and the film Son of Saul directed by László Nemes Jeles winning prizes at Cannes and the Golden Globe in Hollywood. The evening will focus on the prose by the Man Booker International Prize winner László Krasznahorkai, whose work will be introduced by Margit Köves and excerpts of his work will be presented in Hungarian and English by students of Hungarian Aarati Sharma, Jahanara Roychoudhuri, Bayir Bomjen, Divya Sharma, Aarushi, Arun Kumar, Parveen Gupta, Madhav Nayyar, MacMohan, Sushmita, Naveen Dobhal, Gurmeet Nagi and others....
