Event Description : DR A P J Abdul Kalam Award 2016. 

UTTHAN SAMITI – A ray of Hope has initiated and started ‘Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Award’ to motivate other people working for welfare and development of society. This award is announced under the ‘Clean, Green, Healthy and Educated India’ campaign and will be given to those who are excelling in their category as well as in social works. This award would motivate them as well as other people also to come forward for the welfare of the society. This award is dedicated to former President late Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam.
The committee has decided to give this award to people from all fields of life be Journalism, Social Service, Law, Medicine and Health, Literature, Education,  (Art & Culture) Artist, Public Service Officers, Industrialist, Young Entrepreneur, Any Organization, N.G.O. / Company (Govt./Pvt.),Life Time Achievement, etc.  
This event will be attended by Cabinet Ministers, Celebrities, and Industrialists, 23 Awardees selected from all over India, Eminent Social Workers, Poet, Artist, Writer, Sports Persons, Electronic / Print Media and 1500 Visitors from all over India. The ceremony will be held on 17th January 2016 at Mavalankar Hall, Constitution Club of India, New Delhi from 4pm onwards.

Utthan Samiti (A Ray of Hope) is a social organization and a non-profit society. It was founded by the objective to ensure a clean, green and healthy India. The organization aims to restore human rights and dignity for the underprivileged section of the society, work for the welfare of the downtrodden, and also work towards a cleaner, healthier environment.
Utthan Samiti also spends money on seminars, conferences, on education of the children from poor families, besides taking up other social projects in order to promote the founding objectives of the organization.
