Humor, Love, Rollicking Laughter, Passion and Anguish are some emotions that will come alive at the Third Edition of Panna Bharat Ram Festival. Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts (SRCPA) with its mission to nurture and develop talent in performing arts is pleased to bring this festival, to the capital.
Replete with interesting characters and compelling plays the festival promises to be a cathartic experience for the audience. 
The name, Panna Bharat Ram Festival has been chosen as gratitude towards Mrs. Panna Bharat Ram who managed Shri Ram Center and Shri Ram Centre for Performing Arts for nearly three decades with absolute dedication. SRPCA was founded in 1975 and has been operating in the heart of Delhi’s theatre district, Mandi House.

The play demonstrates the chilling fact that in all of us there is a streak of Tughlaq, as much as of those mute masses whom he so ruthlessly manipulates

The play originates from an old Tamil legend about a young  woman burnt alive by her brothers to save the family honor and who before dying cursed all the descendents of the clan. . The point of view of women - where three contemporary characters interact with women characters of Mahabharata  like Kunti, Draupadi etc. questioning  their acts & empathies with their pain.

Orgon, a wealthy bourgeois, is in awe of Tartuffe, an imposter and a fraud. Tartuffe is a vagrant before he met Orgon. Both Orgon and his mother are swayed by Tartuffe’s piety. The plot heats up as Orgon announces his decision to give his daughter Marianne’s hand in marriage to Tartuffe. The drama ends well, and Orgon announces the wedding of Marianne with her lover Valère.
